School board appoints new principals

The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of principals and vice-principals at a number of its schools, for the 2010-2011 school year. The changes follow nominations that were previously announced over a month ago.
Ms. Micheline Bélanger will become Vice-Principal at École St-Denis (Sudbury).
Ms. Mélanie Bourget will serve as Principal at École St-Antoine (Noëlville).
Ms. Barbara Breault has been named Principal at École St-Joseph (Hanmer).
Mr. Luc Dalcourt will be the new Principal at École St-Denis (Sudbury).
Ms. Michèle Fortier will become Vice-Principal of École Félix-Ricard (Sudbury).
Ms. Christine Laframboise will serve as Principal of École St-Joseph (Sudbury).
Ms. Pierrette Lemieux becomes Principal at École Saint-Joseph (Espanola).
Ms. Tracy Rossini has been named Principal at École Jean Paul II (Val Caron).
Ms. Julie Venne will be the new Principal at École St-Charles Borromée (St-Charles).
Also, Ms. Gisèle Lamy will become Principal of the new École Notre-Dame-du-Sault in September 2011. This school, which will merge the three existing French Catholic schools in Sault Ste. Marie (Cardinal Léger, Notre-Dame-des-Écoles et Notre-Dame-des-Grands-Lacs), will serve students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.
“I am fully confident that our principals and vice-principals will attain high levels of excellence in their new positions,” stated CSCNO Director of Education Ms. Lyse-Anne Papineau. “Greatly motivated by a desire to strengthen French Catholic education in their communities, these education professionals have the leadership skills required to mobilize our students and staff to commit to raising their standards with each passing day.”
The CSCNO will announce a few additional vice-principal appointments in August.
The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario offers a French Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. It provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with more than 7,300 students in 28 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
