“For years we have been approached by businesses in the wedding industry and by our readers about hosting a bridal show. We are so pleased to finally be launching an event,” says Sudbury Living publisher Patricia Mills. The Sudbury Living Bridal Showcase will be held at the new United Steelworkers Hall on Brady St. “This new hall is simply gorgeous” says Sudbury Living event co-ordinator Brandi Ransom. “We are so happy to have partnered with the United Steelworkers to help show off Greater Sudbury’s newest wedding venue.” With 50 exhibitors, a fashion showcase and a music showcase featuring local musicians and DJs, the Sudbury Living Bridal Showcase is the perfect place for brides and grooms to get the information they need to start planning their special day. Ransom, a certified wedding co-ordinator with the Wedding Planner’s Institute of Canada, has used her experience with brides and wedding planning to put together this event, “The Sudbury Living Bridal Showcase takes bridal shows to a whole new level. We like to call our showcase a bridal EVENT not a bridal SHOW.” There will be complimentary hors d’ouevres and cookie and milk shooters served throughout the entire day, free pampering and a Signature Drink Cocktail Bar featuring specialty cocktails and martinis. There will be many door prizes as well. One lucky couple will win the opportunity to have their wedding featured in the 2013 issue of Sudbury Living Weddings. The Sudbury Living Bridal Showcase will takes place March 3, 2012 from noon to 10 pm. Admission is $5 at the door (guests stamped for re-entry). All admissions collected will be entered into a 50/50 draw at the end of the night.
